The temple boasts several ponds and pools. A large lake will immediately catch your eye when walking down the stairs from the entrance. In the centre of the lake is a fountain, featuring a statue of the Goddess of knowledge, art and music, Sarasvati. Behind the lake is a walled-off area with two pools meant for bathing. Continuing your exploration north, you will enter the elevated, main temple grounds. This is where you find many shrines, one of which is Candi Bentar; beautifully surrounded by water and making for a great opportunity to shoot a picture-perfect postcard photo.
