The central mosque of Almaty is one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in Kazakhstan. Built in 1999 on the site of an old mosque, functioning since 1890, it was included in the list of the main attractions of the city. The capacity of the mosque is designed for 7 thousand parishioners. The territory of the yard is 0.95 hectares.
