Alvin was really friendly and he described in great detail his experience in preserving and collecting artifacts of the local Peranakan community. It’s different from the more curated and “sanitised” museum in Melaka. Would recommend if interested to know more about it.
Alvin Yap is a great and engaging host. We learned so much from him about Peranakan culture. I love his collection and stories behind each piece. Highly recommended! Will surely be back with other family members and friends.
Fantastic experience. Well worth a visit. A unique and large collection of beautiful Perakanan vintage and antique items. Alvin is inspiring, and generous with his time. Highly recommended
Alvin’s Peranakan collection is spectacular (the localised figurines of Virgin Mary and Infant Jesus were of interest to me especially). The ambience of the tour and the kuehs at the end made the whole experience even nicer. Definitely recommend!
A small museum with a big heart, enter the private home of Alvin Yapp and experience a candid session of chats, insight, and rich visual showcase of the Peranakans in this memorable encounter.
Alvin has been such a great and engaging host. It was a good experience if you really into heritage and culture. His knowledge and collectibles are sure to impress you.
