Sail from Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef to scuba dive and snorkel. Take
part in even more fun-filled activities on a large Reef platform and visit an
underwater observatory where a marine biologist helps you understand the
current state of the Great Barrier Reef.
— What You Can Expect —
Prepare yourself for an exciting day out atop the water! Go snorkelling and
scuba diving from Cairns by boarding a fast catamaran and visiting the Green
Island and the magnificent Great Barrier Reef.
Your first stop of the day will be Green Island, which is a beautiful
6000-year-old coral cay located in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Here
you get to explore to your heart's content and enjoy the island's rainforest
and waters. Grab your snorkelling gear and explore a vast marine world just
off the beach, spend time lazing on a pristine white sand beach, or take part
in the optional activities that Green Island has to offer.
Then, once finished on Green Island, it's time to board the catamaran again
and head for a stable platform on the Great Barrier Reef. Here you can choose
to go snorkelling straight from the platform or enjoy a dive under guidance
from a PADI-certified instructor. You'll also cruise in a semi-sub, visit the
underwater observatory, and relax on the sundeck with a delicious buffet
lunch.
In addition to your many included activities, Great Adventures' activity
platform also offers a wide range of exciting optional activities on-site!
So get ready for a catamaran cruise from Cairns, snorkelling in the Great
Barrier Reef, and a day out you won't forget anytime soon! Best of all, tour
with peace of mind with this operator's ECO Advanced
Certified conservation efforts.
