The largest book market in India. College Street aka Boi Para (Book Street) is a prominent centre of Kolkata’s literary crowd. It is the largest pre-owned book market in the world. Quite often you come across an original copy of a masterpiece for a bargain. It is said, if you don't find a book in College street, then it probably never existed.

We start our walk at Central Metro Station. We walk through the lanes of residential alleys to experience the lives of the locals. Explore the countless book kiosks and you may come across a masterpiece if it is your lucky day.

This walk takes you along Presidency College (one of the oldest educational institution in India), the Indian Coffee House (the hub of intellectuals, the very place where stalwarts such as Satyajit Ray, Amartya Sen, Mrinal Sen and many more have visited and spent time in). And we cannot miss the legendary Paramount Sherbet, a 94 years old juice joint that boasts of a rich heritage. Popular for its “DaberShorbot” a Sharbet (juice) made of tender coconut water, ice, syrup and the white meat/pulp of the coconut.
