Start your guided tour at Corso Lorenzo Fazzini, in front of the Town Hall, and wander through narrow alleys with whitewashed houses and views of the Adriatic Sea.

First stop is the Love Staircase (Scalinata dell’Amore), where the steps show lyrics from Max Gazzè’s song “The Legend of Pizzomunno and Cristalda.” Couples who walk it together are said to stay united forever, giving Vieste the nickname “City of Love.”

Next, visit the Cathedral of Saint Maria Assunta, an 11th-century gem in the historic center, with a stone façade, Romanesque arches, marble altar, and ceiling frescoes.

Continue to the Svevo-Aragonese Castle, overlooking the sea, and stroll along its ramparts for panoramic views.

Then visit the Pizzomunno monolith, a 25-meter-high landmark linked to local legend.

The tour ends at the Trabucco of Punta San Francesco, a wooden fishing platform offering a final panoramic view of the Adriatic Sea and Vieste’s cliffs.
