Go for Romantic train to see the autumn foliage in the countryside.
The train ride is fun but do remember that once booked you couldn't change the time of the ticket. Remember to also change the seat to the correct side else most of the trip you can't enjoy the nice view of the river valley.
Boarding the train with the QR code at the gantry was easy. Experience of the ride thru Arashimaya forest was very nice but it’s unfortunate that our subsequent boat ride back was cancelled due to strong wind conditions. Also could not understand why we have to walk 500m from Toroko Kameoka station to JR Umahori station for return ride to Kameoka station. It will be worse if the weather is bad as the journey was not sheltered
