This activity will begin with a trip to the Hoi An market, where you can see the unusual fruits and vegetables that are used in our delectable cuisine. We'll talk about the various ways that herbs, spices, and plants are used in food and medicine. Additionally, you will be able to try some local delicacies and fruits. After, we will embark by boat (about a 35-minute trip) to join my authentic family’s village on a small island on the river of Hoi An. Upon your arrival, you will be served a fresh and delicious fruit juice, a typical Vietnamese fruit-based drink. While you enjoy your inviting drink, you will learn about the beautiful Vietnamese countryside and meet Grandma. From here, we will go to my family’s home, where you will begin your sophisticated cooking lesson. Learn how to make the delicious and well-known fried eggroll's rice paper as well as how to make some of the other regional specialties. Once this flavorful meal has been prepared, we will enjoy the meal in my grandmother’s garden. We will then return to Hoi An by boat.
