Next, we will continues to the Lingyin Temple where we will spend some time appreciating the profound Buddhist atmosphere. This is the oldest temple in Hangzhou with a history of over 1,700 years. It is also regarded as a treasure of the Buddhist culture, housing various historic relics from different dynasties. A maverick monk named Ji Gong (1148 - 1209) was ordained at Lingyin Temple. Our guide will tell you some interesting stories about this renowned monk who usually wore rags , was unkempt, and violated Buddhist commandments.

After lunch, we will proceed to a tea plantation to learn about the tea culture of Hangzhou. Longjing Tea or dragon well tea of more than 1200 years old is the No. 1 tea in China and regarded as the “Green Queen”. Afterwards,visit to the Six Harmonious Pagoda which stands by the turbulent Qiantang River. Built during the Northern Song Dynasty (960 - 1127), the Six Harmonies Pagoda has been guarding the running Qiantang River for over 1,000 years. Seen from the exterior, it is a 13-storey pagoda about 60 meters (200 feet) tall, with an iron bell hung under each of the 104 cornices of the tower. You only need to climb up 7 floors inside to reach the top, which will provide you the best view of the Qiantang River scenery.
