The Summer Palace occupies 3.008 square kilometers, three-fourths of which is water, mainly the Kunming Lake at the foot of Longevity Hill. Its 70,000 square meters of building space features a variety of palaces, gardens, and other ancient-style architectural structures. Well known for its large and priceless collection of cultural relics, it was among the first group of historical and cultural heritage sites in China to be placed under special state protection.

After you purchase this ticket you will receive email of the QR code from the service provider. You can use the QR code to enter the garden. It's a huge garden. The inner part of the palace (Foxiang Pavilion) is sold separately and can be purchased on-site for CNY10 and not included from this purchase

Huge place! Beautiful surroundings. Go if you enjoy sceneries
The place was great, the only downside is the crowd. Some quiet parts of the attractions are worth visiting. The landscape and ancient architecture are amazing, it's nice to purchase an audio guide to truly appreciate the history behind every landmark. Tickets are available to purchase on the spot without a line and much lower price than Pelago.
This place only offers big garden with river. So we decided to go for a ship to see the river. It's CNY 40/pax for 20 mins it says ( I think only to cruise for 15 mins. It's nothing to see either. Pretty boring
