Day 5: Phnom Penh - City tour

Come to understand the brutality of the Khmer Rouge regime. We start by visiting the Genocide museum, or "Toul Sleng" (S-21) - the prison where it is estimated more than 15,000 people were tortured.Choeung Ek Genocidal Center
4 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedWe then follow the last journey of the victims who were taken after their interrogation and torture, to Choeung Eng or the "Killing Fields", a haunting but peaceful experience in what is now the final resting place for so many. We end our day at a local temple for a cleansing ceremony in which we make an offering to the lost souls of this brutal period. Day 6: Phnom Penh

We will then explore the riverside precinct, including taking in the sprawling Wat Ounalom temple complex, the Independence Monument, which was built in 1958 for Cambodia’s independence from France, and the nearby statue of the former King, Norodom Sihanouk.
