The tour actually consisted only of transportation. Whilst the cost of the tour guide and admission were included in the price, the tour guide actually was from the salt mines itself. We had difficulty locating the bus when we finished the tour. There was no effort from the tour guide who brought us to the salt mines from Krakow to locate us at all.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Pickup was on time and driver was very informative about the procedure prior to entering the mines. Specialised guide for the mine tour and she also was excellent, although with hearing aids she was sometimes a little hard to hear. My husband, who is 82 found his legs very wobbly after negotiating the first 300 downward steps and struggled a bit with the remaining 500 steps, but enjoyed the tour. We were both extreme pleased to get the lift back to the surface. Go and enjoy!
