Itinerary
Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden

Our first Stop is Kirstenbosch. Kirstenbosch is the largest of a country wide network of eleven botanical gardens administered by the South African National Biodiversity Institute. Kirstenbosch was established in 1913 to conserve and promote the indigenous flora of southern africa. Kirstenbosch is internationally acclaimed as one of the great botanical gardens of the world.
There is also an option to join a tour with a Kirstenbosch guide. Who takes us through one of the routes around the garden.
Groot Constantia
2 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
Our second stop is Groot Constantia stands as a pinion of excellence for the wine industry and is an ideal example for the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of the country. It is a fully operational wine farm. Constantia products were praised by, among others, Napoleon, Bismarck and Louis Philippe of France.
Steenberg Vineyards
2 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
Our last stop is Steenberg. Steenberg, known as Swaaneweide in 1682, is almost certainly the oldest farm in the Constantia valley, even older than Groot Constantia. In the early days table grapes were its main export. The history of this farm is virtually inseparable from that of a formidable woman, Trijin Ras. The homestead we see today was built in 1740. Since 1988 Steenberg has been known for its upmarket golf estate, restaurants and wines.
