Itinerary
At 9:30 AM we pick you up from the Pamukkale hotel and we start with a 3o min drive as we arrive at Laodicea. The first stop of this tour will take place at the ancient city of Laodicea, which is 10km away from Pamukkale. This settlement was founded by Seleucid King Antiochus II who named it after his wife. The settlement used to be an important location during the Roman and Christian periods. Accompanied by the tour guide, you will walk around, observe some of the ruins and learn the history of this city. Among others, you may observe temples, fountains, an ancient theatre, a stadium, and a gymnasium. After spending some time at Laodicea, you will be transferred to Kaklik Cave. The next stop of the excursion is at the Kaklik Cave, which is known for its thermal springs. This location features naturally shaped structures similar to the ones in Pamukkale. Thermal springs flow into the cave creating a unique backdrop of unparalleled natural beauty. The last stop of the excursion is the Salda Lake. A day that triggers your mind, as you will see Salda Lake. The world-famous Salda Lake is located in southwestern Turkey. The lake is a mid-size classified crater lake and has a unique atmosphere that astonishes everyone who visits it. Nature’s virgin wonder Salda Lake is a home for different species including unique plants and animal species. Lake Salda is located on the borders of the Burdur province, about fifty kilometers away from the city center.
