We arrived early at the meeting point but our guide 丹 was already there! 丹 is knowledgeable, friendly and cheerful. We had a great time at Forbidden City, soaking in the snippets of history shared by 丹 and admiring the architectural beauty and exhibitions. 丹 was kind to share her recommendations for food too.
Was good. Had a child with us, and guide linda was helpful and accommodating. Child should ideally be able to walk for 4 hours.
The guide Jack was great, knowledgeable and gave in-in-depth insight into the history, events and stories of the Forbidden City. Highly recommended!
Icy was a fantastic guide Excellent knowledge about Forbidden City and we learned a lot about Chinese history from her Recommend to take a tour with her
Extremely disappointed with the tour. The tour started from side door (East gate) and bypassed the main door at Tian An Men. The tour guide couldn't speak well in English, and she skipped most of the major landmarks. Generally she was using side alleys with no crowd to navigate around. We were walking on the perimeters instead of hitting to the centre of the attractions. The explanations couldn't relate to the point of interests but more like generic stories that had happened in the past. More than half of the tour members left half way and decided to navigate on their own. She was more interested in getting a good ratings (via the link she sent to us) than offering a good guide. Some tour members who did direct booking were paying on the spot, at the rate 50% of what Pelago is charging. The premium we paid in Pelago doesn't justify the value at all. Please avoid this tour at all cost.
