Highlights
Embark on a roundtrip bus tour from Salzburg to uncover the dark history of Obersalzberg. Traverse the winding Alpine roads and witness the breathtaking beauty of the mountains, valleys, and pastures. At the summit, you'll find the Eagle's Nest - Hitler's mountain retreat, where the sinister plans of the Third Reich were shrouded in secrecy.
As you journey from Salzburg, marvel at the seamless blend of Baroque, Renaissance, and Gothic architecture against the backdrop of picturesque countryside and lush woodlands. Cross the border into the heartland of Bavaria, Germany, and ascend the hillsides where history's darkest chapters were written. Disembark at Obersalzberg and venture through a tunnel that cuts through the mountain. A brass elevator will then transport you to the summit, where you'll explore the historic Kehlsteinhaus - The Eagle's Nest.
Step inside the infamous fireplace room, where unimaginable evil was once plotted. Then, immerse yourself in the spellbinding views of the Bavarian and Austrian Alps, offering a moment of solace amidst a tumultuous past.

Excellent trip. Our guide and driver, both named Walter, were professionals. The guide was probably 80 years old but could recite the script so well and throw in jokes along the way. His English was amazing. It was surreal to be in the tunnel and dining room once used by Hitler and Nazi officers. One can capture a very nice picture of the Eagle’s Nest from the viewing point outside the lodge.
