Canadian National Vimy Memorial
2 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeThe Battle of Arras, April 1917 We start visiting the Vimy Ridge visitor Centre. Depending the attendance, the Grange tunnel visit will be added to explore and discover an hidden side of the trench warfare. Crossing the Canadian line through no man's land, we will walk in the German trench system facing the Canadian positions. And then, we will drive to the Canadian Memorial designed by Walter Seymour Allward and fully refurbished in 2007. Before heading to the Somme sector, we will stop at the Givenchy Road Canadian cemetery.Givenchy Road Canadian Cemetery

Its very well preserved trench system is a must to help us to understand the trench warfare. The first stop is at the Canadian Memorial of Courcelette. This village has been captured by the Canadians in mid-September 1916 on the same day that the tanks will be used for the first time in history.
