Unfortunately, there was a mishap with our booking. I booked for 2 adults and received confirmation for two, but the local operator only had received a booking for one. Thankfully, they still allowed us both to travel and go on the tour. The activity itself was alright. It was nice to ride and visit the different islands but there wasn't much to do if you aren't beach lovers - many of the islands were for sight seeing and walking and sunbathing etc. The snorkel was great but unfortunately was only given half an hour. And the water wasnt clear - unsure if it was due to our weather on the day or if it's always like that. We still enjoyed the experience though. The entrance fee has to be paid in cash too in person. But the lunch was delicious. High appreciated the free drinking water that was cooled too. And they provided the snorkel gear. Would I go again? Most likely not but definitely worth a try at the very least.
tour guide was very friendly and easy-going. able to understand and whole trip and experience was amazing.
Good tour! Enjoyable and worth the money
Thks for the experience but there are indeed areas for improvement. Just to inform you that we were asked to pay an additional 200Baht per pax as island fee at the embarkation point. We paid 600 Baht at embarkation point and this was not informed earlier. Fortunately we had cash on hand and this "additional island" fees were not mentioned during booking. Otherwise we may not have continued with the activity. Next, safety was generally okay with life jackets provided during the trip but life jackets were stowed away on the return leg back to Krabi. Although 10 mins, it was still open sea and mishaps can happen. Thirdly, snorkeling area resulted in many of us having skin irritation and rash. So we exited after 5 mins. Orchid tour ground counter staff at the embarkation point was rude and demandes for hard copy receipt and asked if we booked thorough Internet. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience.
Total disaster from day 1 - your communication systems need serious work .. will be discussing this with Singapore Airlines in South Africa
