Being one of the oldest buildings in South Africa, the Castle of Good Hope is one of the historical stalwarts that is still open to visitors. It captures the historical events that took place in the Castle dating back 350 years ago. The Key ceremony and the Canon Firing all form part of the experience. Please note: The Key Ceremony runs Monday to Friday; Cannon Firing does not take place on a Sunday; These ceremonies are weather dependent.Bo-kaap
