Itinerary
Shop exterior: The 【Ai-Wafuku Kiyomizu Shop】, facing Kiyomizu's Chawan-zaka slope, is a renovated traditional folk house with a very calm and relaxing atmosphere.
In-store: The shop is lined with many kimonos and accessories. We offer a wide selection of kimonos for both women and men.
Choosing a kimono: You will choose your favorite kimono from a wide variety of types. Our professional dressers will also suggest a coordination that suits you.
Couple's Kimono & Yukata Plan: Choose your favorite kimonos/yukatas and enjoy the experience together at a great value.
Women's Kimono & Yukata Plan: Choose your favorite kimono from a wide range of designs and enjoy a kimono experience empty-handed.
Men's/Children's Kimono & Yukata Plan (Men's Kimono & Men's Formal Black Montsuki Hakama): Our casual men's kimonos are recommended for beginners. The black montsuki hakama is a formal, high-status Japanese attire, recommended for use in combination with a photo shoot.
Men's/Children's Kimono & Yukata Plan (Men's/Children's Kimono & Women's/Children's Kimono): We have a wide range of sizes for our very cute children's kimonos, starting from 70cm in height.
Dressing: A professional kimono dresser will assist you. We will tie the obi in a cute shape that suits each individual.
Hair styling: A professional hairdresser with a national license will style your hair. You can use as many hair accessories as you like with no limit.
Hair accessories: You can use as many hair accessories as you like with no limit.
Hair styling menu: Consult with our stylists to find the cutest hairstyle that suits you best.
Going out: Enjoy a stroll around Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Since it is very close to the shop, you can walk around comfortably even in a kimono! The surrounding streets are also very charming and quintessentially Kyoto.
Returning: For customers who arrive before 12:00, please return to the shop by 16:30. For customers who arrive after 12:00, please return by 17:30.
Ai-Wafuku has 6 shops in Kyoto. ② Kiyomizu Shop, ③ Kiyomizu Yasaka-no-to Shop, ④ Kyoto Station Shop, and ⑤ Gion Shijo Shop are located in the nearby area.

【Japanese Makeup】 A professional makeup service to make you look even more beautiful. The duration is approximately 15 minutes. From foundation, eye makeup (eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara), eyebrows, blush, to lipstick, our professional stylists will carefully finish your look to match your kimono. Please book this together with your kimono rental.
【Location photography by a professional photographer】 You can book a 30-minute course (approx. 50 photo data), 60-minute course (approx. 100 photo data), or 120-minute course (approx. 200 photo data). The photo data will be sent to you via email at a later date with a download URL. Please book this together with your kimono rental.
Return at another shop option: You can use the 'Return at another shop' option to return your kimono at a different branch than the one where you rented it, depending on your sightseeing route. Since you can return it while on the move, you can make effective use of your time according to your sightseeing plan without unnecessary travel. Please inform the reception on the day if you wish to use this service. (Additional ¥1,100 per person)

Additional information
Dressing and hair styling takes about 30 minutes.
The time it takes to choose a kimono and pack your belongings will vary from person to person, so your total time in the shop will be approximately one hour.
The estimated time is one hour, but this may vary during busy periods.
Also, if it takes time to choose a kimono, we may change the order in which you are dressed.
The last return time is 17:30.
If you want to enjoy the bike until late into the night, we recommend the next-day return option (an additional 1,100 yen per person). Please ask the reception staff on the day.
The changing area is on the second floor and accessible only by stairs, so it may be difficult for wheelchair users to use.
The first floor of the store is flat and the entrance is wide, so it is possible to enter and wait in a wheelchair or with a stroller.
If you wish to return the item at another store, please pay ¥1,100 on site.
