Rucu Pichincha is located west of the city of Quito, in the western cordillera of the Andes. We will start our tour at 9:30 am to enter the cable car and ascend to 4,050m. where our route to the summit will begin. During this journey of approximately 3 - 4 hours, we will be able to enjoy the beautiful Andean landscape, its mountains and páramos, as well as a panoramic view of the city of Quito.
The route is physically a bit demanding due to the altitude and the ascent from the starting point; appropriate trekking shoes, cold weather clothing (waterproof jacket, buff or scarf, gloves and hat, also a warm jacket), and sunscreen are required.
Upon reaching the summit, we will enjoy the magnificent view that the place offers us; here we will stay for a few minutes before starting the descent.
Important: If there is bad weather the tour is canceled for everyone's safety.
