You will take the trek through Sirimon Route and it is like no other. It provides trekkers the opportunity of experiencing an easier and shorter trek than Naromoru while still experiencing the all beauty of the surroundings as they pass through the drier side of the mountain.
The route begins in the northwest and passes through the forest to reach the summit area. There is adequate access to the area and bunk housing facilities are best on this side of the mountain.
Itinerary
Nairobi to Sirimon Park Gate (2,600 meters), transfer and trek to Old Moses Camp (3,340 meters)

4 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeYou will get picked up from your accommodation in Nairobi around 8:00 a.m. and drive through the Kikuyu countryside to the slopes of Mount Kenya, passing by the equator. After lunch in Nanyuki Town, you will drive to Sirimon Park Gate (2,600 meters). After park entrance formalities, you will start hiking to Old Moses Camp (3,300 meters). You will climb through bamboo, rosewood, and heather forests, viewing beautiful wildlife such as buffaloes, elephants, bushbucks, and many bird species. You will have your overnight in Old Moses Camp. Dinner and lunch will be provided for this day. Please note that it is strongly recommended to have an extra day for acclimatization before the trek. Old Moses Camp to Shipton Camp (4,236 meters)

9 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeAfter an early breakfast, you will hike along the Mackinders Valley until Shipton Camp (4,236 meters), at the base of Mount Kenya’s high peaks. During this day's exciting trek, you will test your individual endurance while you hike across hills and valleys through the sprawling moorlands. During the day, you can enjoy wonderful views of the main peaks up above, as well as several unique plants and animals such as the giant groundsels, lobelias, and the mountain rock hyrax. Trek to Old Moses Camp (3,340 meters) via Point Lenana (4,985 meters)

You will start your journey nice and early at 3:00 a.m. You will hike up steep scree slopes and across rugged rocks up to Point Lenana (4,985 meters), the hiker’s summit. From there, you can enjoy an outstanding sunrise, admiring Mount Kilimanjaro 340 kilometers to the south when the weather is clear. Then, you will hike back down to Shipton Camp and after a nice brunch, descend down to Old Moses Camp where you will stay overnight. Please note that there is an optional hike down via Chogoria route available at an extra cost. Trek Old Moses to Sirimon Park Gate (2,600 meters) and return to Nairobi
