This Underground Labyrinth in the Heart of the Capital Hides a Dark Past An excellent re-imagining of a Communist-era nuclear bunker, Bunk’Art 2 museum and art space reflects Tirana’s initiative to use culture to celebrate the birth of a new era, whilst remembering its solemn past.

A unique mosque situated in the very heart of Tirana. The mosque, the Clock Tower, National Museum and National Theatre of Opera and Ballet from the surrounds to the famous Skanderbeg Square. Et’hem Bey Mosque was founded at the end of 18th century by Mulla Bey, with the shrine finished by his son Haxhi Et’hem Bey in the first quarter of the following century.

The building of the University of Tirana was designed by the Italian architect Gherardo Bosio in 1939-1940 and it was finished in 1942 as “Casa del Fascio” (House of Fascism) or “Palazzo Littorio”. Its architecture is characterized by compact parallelepiped united with each other that gives the impression of a Roman fortress and brings in memory the traditional Albanian tower that is performed in terms of modernity.
