The Surin Islands are located in a remote area, and it takes 1.5 hours each way to reach them by speedboat.
Pre Purchase
Remember that the transfer time between Khao Lak and the speedboat pier is approximately 1.5 hours one-way. Bring some snacks or breakfast in case you get hungry in the morning.
