Travel down the Upper Waiau River with crisp air rushing by, crystal-clear waters below and stunning views all around. Pause along the way to learn about the area and it's rich history, have some laughs, spot trout, re-imagine Lord of the Rings from 3 film locations and listen to native birds as your driver quiets the engine. Back at the boat ramp your bike will be waiting to travel the designated cycle trail 10km/7mi along the river's edge back to Te Anau's town centre. The trail is well-formed and just requires a moderate level of fitness.
