The emphasis of this fun, relaxed, hands-on class is on learning to choose the best fish, and to bring out its best using a charcoal barbecue. Our Grill Master will teach you his meticulous low and slow process for mouth-watering dishes. Starting from the market, our Chef will bring you to the fish, fruit and vegetable vendor stalls; there, you will be shown and explained the seasonality of fish and vegetables. You will then drive to the 'Gato Preto de Silves', a charming Mediterranean-style Quinta nestled in the beautiful Silves countryside, where Gloria will welcome you with a fresh aperitif to start the cooking class. The selection of fish, the temperature each fish needs, and the cooking time for a perfect barbecue ensure that the fish fully retains its flavor, enriched with sauces prepared by the chef at the moment in front of you. The dishes will be masterfully paired with white and red wines from the Algarve. Finally, we will sit together under the Bougainvillea to sip a refreshing home-limoncello in a relaxed, friendly and festive atmosphere.
