  Tiznit, also known as Tiznet, is a city in southern Morocco. It is located about 90 kilometers south of Agadir between the foothills of the Anti-Atlas and the Atlantic Ocean and is accessible via the National Highway 1 (N 1). Take the first roundabout and head towards Centre ville, where you will find yourself in the lively centre of Tiznit after a short drive. The city is the administrative seat of the province of the same name. The population of Tiznit is about 55,000 people. The city is known far beyond its borders as a processing center for silver jewelry and weapons - daggers and sabers. Market day is Thursday, then the old core of the city with the large Place el Mechouar offers a colorful picture and many visitors from outside come to Tiznit.
