A nature guided tour in the romantic Varenna, on lake Como, leaded by Nadia, a native local guide licensed AIGAE. Varenna is a village on Lake Como, in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 60 km north of Milan and 20 km northwest of Lecco. Varenna was founded by local fishermen in 769, and was later allied with the commune of Milan. A walking tour of about 3 km in the lovely Varenna, a picturesque medieval fishing village on lake Como, located in front of Bellagio and Tremezzo. Our tour starts from P.zza San Giorgio, the heart of Varenna, where there are 4 churches. From the square we'll descend towards the lake, along the small characteristic medieval streets. Lake walk along the "walkway of Lovers", than visit to a craftsman. The local artisan will be the surprise of the day: a painter, a fisherman or a local producer. At the end of the tour option of a unique experience aboard the traditional boat of Lake Como, the “LUCIA”, ask in advance!
