Coconut plays important roles in Balinese life. Balinese believe coconut is a symbol of life and fertility. A tree of all purposes.
I will give you an idea about Balinese body care that can be made from home. We will use all natural materials such as fresh coconut fruit and virgin coconut oil as the base. Rice, fragrance flowers and delightfully aromatic spices that grow on the island are also used for these natural remedies. It starts with introducing the flowers and spices also story of coconut and how it is used in life of Balinese.
During the workshop I will highlight the making of pure coconut oil, begin with obtaining the fresh coconut milk from grated coconut. Touching and smelling the coconut is already feel theurapetic. Then we will start making the oil blends using the flowers and spices. Recipes of Body Scrub and Body Rub blend as well as Traditional Tonic Drink will also be shared during the class. Then everyone will have a taste of what we've been making.
Finally the attendees will receive set of oils, fresh natural remedy blend and batik sarong to take home.
Enjoy young coconut water, healthy snack and tonic drink during the session.
