Mel was our guide for the walking tour and made this a really fun experience. Mel is a great storyteller, bringing history to life for us. She's also super friendly and we recommend signing up for this walking tour to better understand what you're seeing and the significance of the castle to Scotland's history
Really enjoyed it. Sonia our tour guide was informative and entertaining. Although she may change her name to Margaret by the time you tour! To find out why? Well you have to do the tour!
Felt that the guide was boring and lengthy. And didnt manage to move around the castle as fast, stopped every 30metres for a long flat brief.
It was initially confusing as the ticket from Pelago did not state any tour agency, but they were the only group of people gathered there and people in Edinburgh are lovely so we found our guide very quickly. We also learnt that they keep a list of everyone on the tour and make sure all who signed up are accounted for before leaving. The tour was fun and interesting, as people in Scotland all are. We could also roam the castle on our own after the tour which was very fun.
