Highlights
Best Luoyang one day tour is designed to be completed in 8-9 hours. You will visit Shaolin Temple in the morning. The Temple will be followed by Longmen Grottoes. Then drive back to down city. If time permits, you could visit either White Horse Temple or Luoyang Museum. The 3rd place to visit will be open for you according to your interest. Situated in Songshan City, Shaolin Temple is the birthplace of Chan Buddhism and renowned worldwide for Shaolin Kung Fu. Founded in 495 AD, this ancient monastery features historic halls, a serene Pagoda Forest, and breathtaking mountain views. It remains an active spiritual center where monk warriors preserve centuries-old martial traditions. You will have chance to see a short Kongfu show performed by martial monks there.Longmen Grottoes
2 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedNext you will drive to visit Longmen Grottoes which is one of the top 4 Buddhist grottoes in China. That treasure house of ancient stone-carving houses over 100000 stone statues with largest ones taller than 17 meters and smallest ones shorter than 2 centimeters.
