We visit two towns along the Danube river: Szentendre and Visegrád. On the way to the Danube bend we will stop in the artistic village of Szentendre. It is a small baroque city at the gate of the Danube Bend in a beautiful natural environment. Cobblestone squares, colorful old houses, narrow streets, graceful churches, nice cafes and quality souvenir/art shops with a huge choice of Hungarian contemporary and folklore art.. Szentendre is home and inspiration for many well known Hungarian artists. After the walk through the charming and quiet streets of the downtown you can visit interesting museums or galleries presenting local art. Visegrád once was the capital of Hungary. From the hill you will enjoy the fascinating panorama of the Danube bend. Here we have an option of visiting the ruins of the castle (tickets: about 7 euros per person). During the tour we can also have lunch at a good restaurant.
