Trail to Phulchowki Mai
Reach one of the highest elevation in the Kathmandu Valley on this ultimate day hike! Your adventure begins at Godavari, famed for its lush botanical gardens, before you ascend to the 2,782m (9,127 ft) summit of Phulchowki, the "Hill of Flowers." This 4-hour guided trek winds through a magnificent, dense jungle of rhododendron and oak. The forest is a world-renowned birdwatching paradise, home to over 300 species and a major flyway for migratory birds. The reward for your climb is one of the most breathtaking 180-degree Himalayan panoramas in all of Nepal. You'll enjoy a well-deserved picnic lunch at the top, gazing at a stunning chain of snow-capped peaks that, on a clear day, stretches from the Annapurna range in the west to Gaurishankar and even Mount Everest in the east. This is a world-class nature escape just outside the city.
