Itinerary
徳寿寺(曹洞宗 金光山 徳寿寺)
Experience traditional Japanese culture in a peaceful 300-year-old temple in Miyajima. Put on your favorite kimono, enjoy an authentic Matcha tea ceremony hosted by a tea master, and taste unique local treats in a historical setting. Step 1: Dress Up in Kimono Begin your experience by choosing your favorite kimono from a wide variety of colors, designs, and sizes. We provide everything you need to get dressed. Step 2: Table-Style Tea Ceremony (Ryurei-shiki) Enjoy a table-style tea ceremony (Ryurei-shiki) seated comfortably on chairs—no need to sit on the floor. First, watch a tea master perform the ceremony, where Matcha is served in authentic Miyajima-yaki (local Miyajima pottery) alongside local Miyajima chocolate. Next, try making your own Matcha tea using a traditional Kyo-yaki (Kyoto-style pottery) tea bowl, served with traditional Konpeito (rock glass candies). Step 3: Photo Time in the Japanese Garden After the tea ceremony, enjoy taking photos in your kimono throughout the peaceful temple grounds and Japanese garden to capture your unforgettable memories.
