The White Temple, also known as Wat Rongkhun, is a must-see on any trip to Thailand because of its extraordinary architecture and renown devotees. This sacred temple, with its blue and gold exterior decor, is stunning. The interior is just as blue as the exterior, with a large white Buddha erected in the center in the style of modern Buddhist art.

One of Chiang Rai's most impressive temples has a 100-meter-high white Buddha that can be seen from afar. The highlight is the enormous Buddha inside. A lift takes you up to the Buddha's head, where you can gaze out over the Chiang Rai landscape through the eyes of the statue.
