Marrakech transfer to Imlil - trek towards Toubkal Refuge

4 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeYou will be picked from your hotel or hostel for our driver to leave at 8.00 am sharp, so we can all head for Imlil. After the booking process you will be told of your collection pick up requirements. However, you should be set to be ready by 7.00 am. Imlil is a Berber village, located in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains Marrakech. It lies 1740 metres (5,700 feet) above sea level and is situated about 65 km (40 miles) south from Marrakech. It is here, on day one that your trek shall begin. Muleteer crews will meet us here and they will take care of your baggage, food and any other necessary belongings you have brought along. The experienced mountain guide and tour official will take you on a trek initially starting with a number of small Berber villages. We shall pass the mountain shrine of Sidi Chamharouch. By now we will be well over 8,000 feet above sea level and within distance of our mountain hut.Toubkal

Toubkal Refuge – trek to Toubkal at 4167M – Imlil - Transfer Back To Marrakech

4 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeThe next day of your 2-day Toubkal tour after breakfast, you will begin the ascent from the basecamp altitude of 10,521 feet (3,207 meters) to Toubkal’s summit, which towers 13,671 feet (4,167 meters) above sea level, this will take another few hours. You will wake up in the early hours, around 5am, so that you will meet the summit as the sun is rising high in the sky. The final part of the ascent is tough, steep and rocky, and the effects of being at altitude add to the challenge. When you reach the peak, you will enjoy a well-earned rest and take in the sight. The magnificent views from the summit, reach across to the Sahara Desert.Imlil
3 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeEnjoy the rest and take some nourishment, savour the mountain air before beginning the descent back to Imlil. You will return back to the refuge for lunch and continue to Imlil following the same route down the hill.Marrakech
