Highlights

The Hakka people's distinctive homes, called tulou, have a storied past and one today is a prime tourist attraction.


Yunshuiyao Old Town, Yún shǔi yáo gu zhen , also known as The Knot Town had obtained its fame through a popular Chinese movie called Yún shǔi yáo which had won the Best Film in the 2007 Golden Rooster Awards. Yún shǔi yáo literally means "The Song of the Clouds and Waters", mainly elaborates a loving story in 1960s in old times of China.


Hekeng Tulou Cluster, one of the most incredible Tulou clusters, inscribed as one of the 46 Fujian Tulou World Heritage Sites. Having a birds’ eye view of the Hekeng Tulou Cluster, you will find the huge “T” earth buildings spreading between green mountains and clean water, adding a field to this magnificent scenery.

  • Huaiyuan Tower

    After lunch, visiting Yunshuiyao ancient town, continue your visit to Huaiyuan Tower. Spend about 30 minutes and then continue your next visit to other sites in the area.

  • Hegui Building

    Continue your visit to Hegui Lou, a key cultural heritage structure under state protection. The building was constructed in 1732, and you can take a virtual tour to see the amazing Fujian Tulou.

  • Hekeng Tulou hakka houses cluster

    Go ahead to visit Hekeng Tulou Cluster, a village with 13 tulou. It is one of the 10 sites collectively inscribed as the "Fujian Tulou" on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is indeed a complete village, with a dozen or so full-size tulou, plus some smaller adobe buildings. Your tour then ends with return transport to your hotel in Xiamen.
