Here’s a chance to journey deep inside Cyprus’ last undeveloped coastal frontier, the wild Akamas Peninsula. This trip is perfect for nature-lovers of all persuasions, especially for bird-watchers, botanical enthusiasts or those just seeking a thrill. Our itinerary takes in all the “must-see” sites and landscapes of this spectacular environmental wonderland.
This full day adventure includes several sections of “off-road” driving. Dust and bumps are part of the process, but our drivers are specially trained to go slow and steady and allow many rest stops throughout the day.
Note: Enough time will be given for optional lunch (not included, extra).

Avakas Gorge
40 minsAdmission Ticket FreePerhaps Cyprus’ most impressive natural wonder, this deep canyon is famous for the sheer walls of limestone that come narrowly together to form a natural tunnel. A not-too-strenuous walk is required to see the best parts of the Gorge. Some sections are sun-exposed, but mostly we walk in shadow over sometimes slippery boulders.
