By car (SUV only) via a 9 km dirt road from Kaliviani + 20–30 min downhill walk.
Walking difficulty: Moderate. To reach the beach, a 20–30 min downhill walk (and return uphill later) is required. Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended.
No beach facilities: There are no sunbeds, cafes, or restrooms at the lagoon. We provide umbrellas and bottled water for your comfort.
Environmental protection zone: Balos is part of the NATURA 2000 network. Littering, collecting shells, or damaging the natural environment is strictly prohibited.
Weather matters: Strong winds are frequent. On very windy days, the visit might be adjusted for safety.
Our Promise We organize this tour with care and flexibility. If you prefer a lighter hike or would rather enjoy the view from above without walking down, we adapt the experience for your comfort — without compromising the magic of Balos.
