This is a 2-2,5 hour hike along the avalanche guard system up to Hvanneyrarskál, the U-shaped valley above Siglufjörður. This was the romantic meeting place during the Herring era, and it provides a scenic setting for storytelling and nature interpretation by our local guide. Beautiful scenery and fun stories! This is a smooth afternoon hike, with an ascent of 200 m along good paths. A perfect end to a beautiful summers day, lots of stops and personal guidance. This hike is available all year round, with times adapted to seasons and daylight.
