The tour hike starts from Vlicha, a seaside resort located next to Lindos, on the East coast of Rhodes. At the start of the trail, which initially leads along a dirt road, you immediately leave the buzz of the busy main road behind you . Soon enough, you find yourselves walking in the shade of some mature pine trees for a while. You then follow a trail that leads along beside Marmari Mountain, before visiting an impressive natural cave and admiring the remains of Lindian agricultural life. Finally, the hike reaches its highest point, and after a short break for a snack, it is time for some amazing pictures of “Navarone Bay” with its deep blue and turquoise coloured water. After a short while, you get your first glimpse of the Acropolis where the Temple of Athena proudly stands. Your guide will share plenty of information about its glorious past. You will then have the chance to get closer and explore the narrow streets of the whitewashed village of Lindos. Some free time will be given for visiting the Archaeological site and then you will hike back to Vlicha from a different route. At Vlicha you can also have a quick rejuvenating swim before you leave.
