Depart New York heading south through the states of New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland, before arriving directly to the nation’s capital. Start with a visit to the world famous Arlington National Cemetery and visit the Kennedy family gravesite, then it is on to Capitol Hill.
See the Capitol, Senate and White House and get a better understanding the epicentre of the US government. Continue to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History (while Air and Space Museum is closed due to renovations) before visiting the Lincoln, Korea and Vietnam Memorials.
In the late afternoon, embark on a panoramic city tour before returning to New York for an evening arrival.

Nice tour. Punctual.
Short, complete and sweet! 👍 A very enjoyable day trip from NYC to Washington DC. Of course, with around 8 hours of travelling in total, time in DC was quite limited — but the tour still managed to cover most of the must-see places: Arlington National Cemetery, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Capitol Hill, the White House, and finally the National Air and Space Museum. If I could add just one more thing to this tour, it would be TIME! 😅 But that’s probably impossible unless everyone is okay with getting back to NYC very late at night. Overall, a well-organized and worthwhile trip. We saw a lot in a short time and really enjoyed the experience. Definitely a good option if you want a taste of Washington DC while staying in NYC! 🇺🇸
