Highlights

A busy day exploring the region’s unique and most treasured assets, beginning with a short stop at the magnificent Tule Tree.
Next up is a guided tour of ancient Mitla, and enjoying the busy market at the gates of the archeological site, good for food and crafts.


Additional hiking, swimming and food are afternoon options at iconic “petrified waterfall” Hierve El Agua, where we’ve planned plenty of time to soak it all in.


Learn about Oaxaca’s renowned local mescal tradition on our way back to the city and, if you wish, a tasting.

  • Tule Tree

    We will visit the Millennial tree of El Tule with the largest trunk in the world. it will be the two thousands years old Tule Tree.

  • Zona Arqueologica de Mitla

    We will visit the 'Stone Lace' decorated Mixtec palaces of Mitla. Our route then continues to Mitla, one of the most important architectural regions in Oaxaca. Here we'll tour the ruins of a Zapotec village, you'll admire the extraordinary decoration of the walls and explore the ornate halls that lead to the church itself.

  • Santiago Matatlan

    2 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    You will visit a Mezcal palenque, learning about the process of mezcal production. And you'll enjoy a tasting of this typical local spirit and its different tastes.

  • Hierve el Agua

    2 hoursAdmission Ticket Not Included
    Hierve al Agua is a magical place, a place in the middle of the mountains with an amazing view. A perfect place where you can swim with an extraordinary view of the mountains.
