The Guachimontones archaeological zone is considered unique in the world for its architecture of concentric circles and is also a UNESCO site next to the agavero landscape and the old tequila factories.

Itinerary

  • Zona Arqueologica Teuchitlan o Guachimontones

    3 hoursAdmission Ticket Included
    Leaving the meeting point we will drive for 1:20 hrs. to reach Teuchitlan Jalisco, capital of one of the oldest Mesoamerican civilizations in the country. The archaeological zone protects circular pyramids with a style of architecture unique in the world and two ball courts and we entered the interpretive center to see the customs and way of life in a more graphic way.

  • Teuchitlan

    15 minsAdmission Ticket Free
    We stop in the main square of Teuchitlan and make a break of approximately 15 minutes to buy snacks and take photos.

  • Tequila

    3 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    We will give you a different experience. We will visit agave fields where we will have demonstration of jima and learn how agaves are harvested, then we will visit Hacienda el imperio distillery where we will see the process of a local tequila outside the big brands, totally artisan process where production is free of additives to create a tequila of very high qualities and, finally we will have tasting of the whole variety of tequilas.

  • Plaza Principal Tequila Jalisco

    2 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    Here we will take free time to eat and then we will enter the gallery of the José Cuervo distillery where we will learn a little more about the industry and finish with free time for photos and shopping. Note: Depending on traffic, the return trip takes approximately 1:30 to 2:00 hours.
