The Dominican Republic is beautiful and everyday you can find some new place to enjoy that only some locals get to experience but Puerto Plata in particular, has this amazing combination of natural attractions, culture and history that you can rarely find in one place. It also baffles me how you can be at the beach enjoying the warm weather and 15 minutes later, up in the highest point of Puerto Plata, overlooking the city and surrounded by an entirely different ecosystem and cool weather.
