Highlights
This morning tour starts at the Acropolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for being the most complete ancient Greek monumental complex. Explore significant landmarks, including the Sanctuary of Dionysus, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, and more. Head downhill to the Ancient Agora, an open space that was the centre of civic life in ancient Athens. From there, continue to Plaka, a historic neighbourhood featuring narrow cobblestone streets and neoclassical architecture.
Avoid the crowds as you enjoy access to the Acropolis early in the morning.
Visit the Bathhouse of the Winds, the only surviving public bath in Athens.
Wander through the narrow alleys and picturesque streets of the Plaka district.
Itinerary
Make your own way to the meeting point at the KeyTours Greece office.
Start of tour. Enter the Acropolis Hill from the south slope. Visit the Sanctuary and Theatre of Dionysus. Walk up the slope towards the Acropolis monuments. Admire the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, and the Parthenon. Head downhill. Marvel at the view of the Ancient Angora. View the National Observatory of Athens. Arrive in the Plaka neighbourhood. Stroll through the streets. Visit the Bathhouse of the Winds. Head to the Monastiraki Square. Pass by the Roman Forum, Fethiye Mosque Museum, and Hadrian's Library. End of tour.Note: The itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions.
