The Ostrog Monastery is an Orthodox monastery found at the high point of the mountain Ostroska Greda, sitting on a nearly vertical cliff in Montenegro. It is dedicated to St. Basil of Ostrog. The monastery includes Upper and Lower monasteries. This Orthodox church celebrates St. Basil of Ostrog on May 12th as per the Gregorian calendar. St. Basil of Ostrog is a great miracle worker whose miraculous works are well known beyond the boarders of the Serbian Orthodox Church. His holy body has been resting in the Ostrog estate for over 300 years, defining the law of rotting. The church where the Saint lies is filled with a pleasant scent that amazes every visitor.
