Hi, I'm Karin, founder of daslebenspueren.at. I organise and accompany guided hikes in the vicinity of Vienna. With a maximum of 4 people, the groups are small and private. It allows me to respond individually to the wishes and needs of the participants. On this hike, we discover the beauties and gems of the Wachau region - charming towns and amazing UNESCO protected landscapes. We wander through the historical districts of the towns of Stein and Durnstein - gothic, renaissance and baroque ensembles delight our eyes. Starting in Stein and following ancient panoramic wine trails, we finally reach our destination, the medieval village of Durnstein with its famous castle ruins. We have the chance to visit a traditional wine tavern and try some local wine and food (optional) before heading back to Stein and further on to Vienna. Walking time is approx. 3 hours, depending on individual speed. Travelling time from/to Vienna is approx. 2 hours back and forth.
