Itinerary

Puerto Maldonado to Sandoval Lodge

  • Tambopata National Reserve

    We will pick you up from the airport /Bus Stations with transfer and we will go to our office where we can leave the luggage that is not necessary for the trip.Then,we will go to the port,where we will board a boat outside and navigate the Madre de Dios River until reaching the control point of the Reserve,in this place we will register and make the entrance to the Sandoval lake and walking 3 km in the forest,until we reach a small canal where we board canoes paddle and across the lake and then reaching at port and lodge where we will be accommodated in our comfortable rooms ,After lunch we wil taking our canoe paddle,where it is possible to see the giant otter (river wolf), black alligator, shanshos (prehistoric birds),turtles and many birds et.Then we will return to the lodge for dinner,after dinner we will visitto the lake in the canoe with our lanterns we wil be able to see black alligators and otther species and then will return our comfortable lodge private room with shower.

    Today, we rise early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Sandoval Lake, its glassy surface reflecting the first rays of light. After a delightful breakfast, we embark on a serene canoe journey across the lake to explore its hidden corners, home to vibrant wildlife like parrots, parakeets, and majestic macaws nesting in ancient Mauritia palm trees. Next, we venture into the untouched depths of the rainforest, guided by an expert who unveils its ecological wonders—Towering trees and a wide range of flora and fauna, including endemic species . Returning to our lodge, we savor a delicious lunch before indulging in some leisure time. Whether it's a refreshing swim in Lake Sandoval Later, as the sun sets over the lake, we capture stunning photographs from our canoe, the Amazonian sunsets. After dinner, under the starlit sky, we gather around a campfire to listen to the stories and legends of the jungle from our guide, it will be perfect for an unforgettable day in the Amazon jungle.

    Today we say goodbye after having enjoyed our trip, we will have breakfast, then we will pack our things to board the rowing canoe and navigate the Lake and then through a channel to the end of the port, from there we will start the walk to the checkpoint. where our outboard boat awaits us to navigate up the Madre de Dios River to the City of Puerto Maldonado. Transfer to our office to collect the left luggage and then we will go to the airport / land terminal
