The driver is punctual. best for tourist that does not require guide/attendance but a good chauffer.

Driver was extremely polite, patient and punctual throughout the journey. It was a little foggy for sunrise but beautiful view nonetheless. Borobodur is a must-see. Great tour for anyone visiting Yogyakarta!

Accurate description, attentive driver and knowledgable tour guide

I recently booked the Borobudur Sunrise Tour from Setumbu Hill in Yogyakarta. Unfortunately, the date coincided with a marathon event near Borobudur, leading to widespread road closures. These closures were not well-communicated, causing many vehicles, including ours, to be rerouted. As a result, we could not make it to Setumbu Hill for the sunrise. However, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise! The weather was very cloudy, so a sunrise view was unlikely anyway. Thanks to my guide, Haidar's quick thinking, we improvised and explored the beautiful countryside instead. Our adventure took us to Bukit Kembar Gunung Payung. After a short hike, I was greeted by a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The highlight? A small boat perched dramatically on the cliffside - a quirky and unique photo spot that made the detour totally worth it. While the original plan did not pan out, Haidar's resourcefulness turned the situation around, making it a memorable and rewarding experience. If you are up for some flexibility and surprises, I highly recommend this tour and ask for Haidar to be your guide!
